Cloud City Classic - Brand New Kicks ft. K-Rec (Video)A dope video Brand New Kicks from a Canadian group Cloud City Classic If you like this download their new album for free here: http://chamberlaindrive.bandcamp.com/album/brand-new-kicks Cloud City Classic’s debut album, Brand New Kicks, is a throwback to mid 90’s hip hop with nicotine beats and Palm Bay flows. The album features production from Details and guest appearances from K-Rec, Vintage and Jay of Self Taught. The first single, Brand New Kicks, features K-Rec, a producer/turntablist, who re-mixed "It's Tricky" by Run-Dmc, which soon became the title track for the Electronic Arts video game SSX Tricky. The Vancouver based group is comprised of two grizzly mountain dwellers known by the names of Inkspill & Sadler. The pair has been working together since 2005 but ultimately decided on a partnership while stuffing their faces with local favorites Foundation nachos and Numero Uno pizza. Several hundred beers, a couple years, and a few girlfriends later the group polished off 10 ‘classic’ tracks that deliver a nostalgic listening experience. The video for the title track, Brand New Kicks, is a tribute to sneaker culture and the individuals which inspire this global phenomenon. From the Dj Premier inspired sample, to the Jordan flash imagery, to the K-Rec cuts; Brand New Kicks is a reflective look back at culture, influence and society.

Casual - "Rock My Shit" Prod. by DJ Fresh (Official Video)Hieroglyphics member and Oakland native Casual releases a video for "Rock My Shit" from his upcoming album He Still Think He Raw produced by DJ Fresh. From the get go the camera focuses on Casual and his car, alternating between the engine, Casual's toothpick and screeching tires. The song breathes Bay Area from its snappy bass drums to drifting electronic snowflakes and echoing synths. Not to be overshadowed by DJ Fresh's efforts behind the boards, though, Casual is a true tour de force on the mic. "This album is full of braggadocio, which at my age seems immature," says Casual. "But being able to boast and say clever egotistical things is still a big part of hip-hop, and this album allows me to express that side of myself." For fans anticipating Casual's deeper side, rest assured the wait won't be long, as he's currently prepping a second album for 2011, The Hierophant, which will continue to display the emcee's diversity. He Still Think He Raw, being released in 2011, will feature Mitchy Slick & FAB, Grouch, Young Gully, Hongry, Yukmouth, and of course members of Hiero. Watch the video for "Rock My Shit" here:
Souls Of Mischief - "Won One" (Official Video)After a ten-year hiatus The Mighty Souls of Mischief formed like Voltron, releasing the Prince Paul produced Montezuma's Revenge last December to high praise and rave reviews. Nearly a year later, and following world tours and the release of their own Heiro Man toy, Souls is releasing a new video for "Won One." In the Don Tyler produced video, the west coast rhymers go black and white, spitting sharp and precise verses throughout several city settings, an impressive feat considering the video was shot in one take. As the video jumps back and forth from one side of the Golden Gate Bridge to the other, the rappers find themselves imposed on the side of luxury high-rises and abandoned apartment buildings, alike, with their images, like the group's music itself, transcending the city they call home.
