Ohio's Copywrite releases his new album, God Save The King (Proper English Version) on 15th May 2012 on Man Bites Dog Records.

The album includes features by some of the hottest MCs from the UK and USA, including London's Genesis Elijah, Iron Braydz and Mystro who also appear together in this latest video. "Royal Flush" is a special bonus track put together to celebrate the international flavour of the album.

Copywrite, Genesis Elijah, Mystro and Iron Braydz all go in hard over New York producer Dub Sonata's beat, four MCs on top of their game delivering their own trademark punchlines and metaphors. The video was shot on location in Ohio and west London & has its UK TV debut airing on Flava TV (Channel 367) on Friday 20th April.

Moe Pope's career first took off in the early 2000s with the Bay Area-based hip-hop band Mission (who later became known as Crown City Rockers). After a series of 12"s, Pope appeared on the group's LP, One, in 2001, before deciding to return to Boston in order to look after his daughter. Back in his hometown, he connected with rapper/producer Insight and his five-man outfit, Electric (aka Electric Company).

Along with members Anonymous and Raheem Jamal, Pope broke off from Electric to form Project Move, issuing their debut album, Love Gone Wrong/Butterfly Theory, in 2006. As each group member went off to make solo records, Pope reunited with his former Crown City cohort Headnodic for the well received collaborative album Megaphone in 2008.



In 2010, Moe released his critically acclaimed Life After God LP, which was highlighted by iTunes on its 2010 “Rewind List.” Currently, Moe Pope is working on a few new projects, with a new production partner and a new label for his latest and most mature works to date. Here is a sampling of some of that new work as Moe collaborates with fellow Boston spitta Slaine on “Dead Kennedy’s.”

On May 22nd, Casual, one of the most revered lyricists from the Hieroglyphics crew, will release his latest album, He Still Think He Raw. The album, a follow up of sorts to Casual's He Think He Raw album released in 2001, will be produced entirely by DJ Fresh & The Whole Shabang, and to celebrate the announcement, Casual is excited to release the album's Aris Jerome-directed debut video, "Tears."

The song, produced by Scandle, a member of The Whole Shabang crew, opens with a soulful organ chops and a vocal sample singing, "Here I am on my job/ Trying to work/ But the tears in my eyes/ Won't let me hide the hurt." Casual plays off the somber vibe to detail hardships of trying to scrape by, whether as a rapper, drug dealer, or regular blue color worker striving to make ends meet. While the first verse skews general, Casual uses the second verse to detail the struggles between a pimp and prostitute, as he raps, "He's just checking money, cause that's a pimp's job/ She work at strip clubs, and some temp jobs/ And it hurt her feelings, cause she was raised in church/ Now, when the pimp get money, all he say is, 'Church.'"
