yo just started and about to finish this book called LAbyrinth. pretty dope so far, its about death row, police corruption, organized crime and how they intertwine. its all circumstantial, never been into court and reasons for that are in the book. shit was a lot of politics and cover ups. highly recommended. they also get in depth on the biggie tupac killings and how they may be related. once again, great read and i would recommend to anyone with a curious mind and a love for hip hop

Yeah, Adam Weishaupt and his group, the Bavarian Illuminati, were a group of freethinkers that was founded, ironically, in 1776. Freethinker, for those of you that don't know, is a word used, in many respects, synonymously with the word atheist. For this reason, being a member of the Illuminati (meaning, basically, enlightened ones) could get you into serious trouble and so they were forced to keep their group secret but in the 1780s or so secret societies were made illegal in Bavaria and so their goal went from meeting in order to talk about philosophy to conspiring to overthrow the Bavarian government. They were stopped around 1800 and forced to disband and Adam Weishaupt had to spend the rest of his life in exile. I'm still finishing "A Young People's History of the United States" and when I'm done with that I plan to pick up a copy of Ernest Hemingway's "For Whom The Bell Tolls". Most people have heard of that book but don't realize that Ernest Hemingway was an anarchist who actually participated in the 1936-39 Spanish Revolution and "For Whom The Bell Tolls" is about his experience in the revolution.

Quote (eboyd) Ernest Hemingway's "For Whom The Bell Tolls". Most people have heard of that book but don't realize that Ernest Hemingway was an anarchist who actually participated in the 1936-39 Spanish Revolution and "For Whom The Bell Tolls" is about his experience in the revolution. Good book but nope Ernest Hemingway wasn't an anarchist he fought as a volunteer in the Spanish Civil War he was part of the international brigades i think but he surely wasn't an anarchist . This novel is told primarily through the thoughts and experiences of Robert Jordan, a character inspired by Hemingway's own experiences in the Spanish Civil War. Robert Jordan is an American who travels to Spain to oppose the fascist forces of Francisco Franco. I think the most awesome book about the Spanish Civil War is Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell the book is written in first person i mean the book is truly a masterpiece. And now I'm reading The Cuban Revolution : A Critical Perspective by Sam Dolgoff .

The movies Che part 1 and 2 are based on a book by Che Guevara himself called "Episodes of the Cuban Revolutionary War, 1956-58" so i recommend this book .
