Flow: 92% Lyrics: 100% Production: 85% X-Factor: 92% Overall: 92% This was I'd have to say his BEST lyrical album EVER. Following is Illmatic and It Was Written (IMO). The whole album was great except for the track with Chris Brown like Blaze said was a disappointment

i voted 89%. great messages on the album and good to see him stand for something he truly believes in and not being afraid of backlash. the beats were decent, no top producers like Premo or Dre but still ok beats, some of his best lyrics on here though made up for that. Its just a good album to chill out and relax to, not an album for hit singles or party songs etc. best songs of the album: Yall My Niggaz Sly Fox Queens Get The Money We're Not Alone Fried Chicken.

95% imo 2 songs held it back from perfection 2 me Make the world go around(That should of been one of those songs dat get released but not put on an album) and Hero(i like da track alot but i ain't think it was 4 dat album) and i wanted the Proclamation and Be a Nigger to 2 be on the album everything else was excellent and i think The Nas beats is a lil slept on because no one really big made productions and it ain't nothn 2 stand u up and nod your head 2...its a lyrical album and he picked beats 2 express da lyrics more then the beats take make the world go around and hero off and replace it with Proclamation and Be a nigger too and i think it'll b 100%...dat depends where he would set the songs up

this album has grown on me. i still don't like "Hero" or "Make The World Go Round" AT ALL, but the rest of the album ranged from just below average to DOPE AS FUCK! ("Queens Get The Money" and "Sly Fox") Lyrics: 99% Real Flow: 85% Real Production: 75% Real X-Factor: 95% Real Overall: 88.5% Real i still stand by that if remixed by better producers this could have been the greatest album of all time.

Well Meth, Nas has some great albums so this may not have been his VERY worst (*cough* Nastradamus), but it is definitely on the bottom half. It is just that I can sort of enjoy it now.

it was good, but come on, y'all are making it out to be a classic and it just isn't. sure, the meaning behind it, the impact, blah blah, but that doesn't make a great album. let me put it this way, is this a great poem?: the government is trying to screw us don't let America fuck you up they have spies at your house don't let them control you the media sucks the economy blows they're useless like whales with no blowholes as you can see, that poem has a great message, but it was put together in such a terrible manner that the message doesn't do a thing to improve it. it just stinks. now Nas' album isn't so seriously lackluster, but it definitely needs a decent amount of improvement.
