i think it's wack how he is complaining about being famous/people being upset over his shit... i mean he hasn't hit it big yet. i kind of doubt he will ever really break out of the underground. he'll get his 5 on MTV but his shit just won't appeal to the masses. he won't even get HUGE in hiphop, cause he's too busy dissing everyone in the underground communities for them to even give a fuck. simple as that. he hasn't hit it big enough to be saying shit like he does on the album about "oh man fame ruined my fucking life!"
gimmicky IMO. fame was all he was talking about on BASTARD, i mean shit gets on my nerves.
then again, it's tyler, so he isn't always rapping from his own perspective. sometimes it's his, sometimes it's wolf haley's perspective, and other times it's just some random character he made up for that specific song.. so who knows.

but i really really like his anthem songs (radicals, yonkers, and sandwiches). really fucking great shit that makes me wanna go nuts.

songs like "her"... damn.. fucking great shit.

songs like "her"...

That song is REALLY growing on me. A LOT. Probably the realest song I ever heard.

And yeah, I was a bit hyped when I wrote that review.

I think eboyd should see this:

It really changed my output on this Album.

After re-listening with the no-dickrider mind state, i must say, features on this album (besides Frank), are shit.
Bad flows, bad flows i must say. And Radicals should be only like 2 minutes, 7 is way too much.

I can't even listen to Window fully. But, really, the cd is pretty good. Must people bitch on the production, but i liked it, except AU79, that was wack, imo.

Anywho, I give it 7/10, Bastard was waaaaaay better. Pharaoh Monch's album is still my album of the year.

^^ WORD. It's not a Bad album neccesarly. As whole I thought it was an alright product. Like you said a 7/10 maybe a light 8. The problem is that this album has a lot of hits and misses. The songs that Hit hit FUCKIN HARD but much of the stuff in between (mostly the love songs) feel like filler and just aren't doing for me.
But at least there is still hope for Earl to release something Epic upon his return.
