I know it's your opinion but come on now. Production-wise, he's definitely good. He might be an average lyricist at best but he's very good on the boards.

Only god can judge me.

idk about you but i would rather make my music as an expression of me and send it out to the world myself, not have some jackass pretend like it's his production, regardless of how little promotion it gets.

As long as u let other ppl rap over ur beats then ur music will never be an expression of urself. Beats are used to aid the rapper/mc (whatever anybody wants to call it) to express their selves only. So that argument wouldn't work....

WHA???? obviously you don't think highly of the actual music part of music. i like to think that my beats tell a story. all rappers do is assist the beat in telling it's story. and what about instrumental hip hop? plenty of people, including myself on occasion, make beats that aren't meant to be rapped over EVER. good music doesn't need lyrics to say something. having an outlook like

is absolute horse shit. obviously you put no feeling whatsoever into the beats you make and you just have fun and throw shit together. my music, on the other hand, is very expressive and conveys the emotions i am feeling when i make it. i guess that is hard to accomplish when you sample though. you are, in essence, only conveying the original composers emotions. that is part of why i haven't used samples and i may start sampling soon, but i can't see myself getting much out of it because my emotions will be held back by it. that is, after all, what music is -- a vehicle for conveying emotion.

First of all, I aint talkin about instrumental music. And secondly, I do think highly of music. beats don't tell a story, it expresses an emotion. The beat sets the stage for the rapper to spit over.

Uhh, my shit sounds much bettr than urs so don't be sayn somethin like that. Also, it's very easy to sample something n have a totally different sound.... an example is runnin' by the pharcyde or the early rza beats.

fuck no man he has some crazy samples

+ i agree with J, if someone else is on your beat they wont express YOU the way you would express yourself so its not truely expressing yourself? crazy if that makes sense
