You confuse culture with ethnicity once again...Theres only 3 races on the planet (Negroid, Caucasian & Mongoloid), which makes you mostly Mongoloid. The homie Conejo is mostly hispanic with a little native american in him (like most Mexicans) which makes him mostly CAUCASIAN (caucasian & WHITE) are not exactly the same thing. People from India are caucasian, but their skin (in the South) can be darker than an African's because of THE CLIMATE...You think you're hispanic because you speak spanish & live in South America??? eboyd, Coon's model has been discredited in the last 15 years. That Capoid (east africa) stuff is a load of rubbish. Obviously Somalis have longer faces/necks etc. but a lot of that is explained by the Arab (semite/caucasoid blood they have inherited). As for that Australoid rubbish, that has definitely been thrown out. Studies have now proven that the ancestors of modern Aboriginals travelled from Africa by boat. Anyhow, since almost all negro slave trading was based in West Africa, I doubt the dubious Capoid or Australoid theory applies to anyone here. Certainly not to African-Americans, Native-Americans, Polynesians (Mongoloid) or Celts. According to a BBC documentary I viewed recently, the 3 race theory continued to be taught at Universities while Coon's theory was fashionable, and is still going strong today. With respect to all Latin Americans however & to the huge amounts of blood intermingled in places like Puerto Rico or Brazil, the Cultural inflence of Cortez the Killer (cracker lol) can NEVER be underestimated, & neither can the myriad shades of Racism in the New World (The Americas). We can talk of the Irish as a proud race or the English as an cross between a Geman & a Celt, or Hispanics as a proud race, but we must seperate Nurture & Nature at some point. We Irish speak our opressors language, indeed we have mastered it, & we're struggling to revive our own native tongue (very oldest in Europe of course, closest to the original Indo-European). Before the Roman Empire, there was an even larger empire covering the same area called CELTICA. Obviously you aren't truly up to date with college studies. I studied cultural anthropology 2 semesters ago. The 3 race model, as well as the 5 race model, are well out of date. Don't make me dig up my school books! Lol! Seriously though dude, they scrapped both models long ago. They now recognize people instead simply by what culture and region they were raised in. Trust me, both of those models are actually taught in these classes just to let people know that they only create oppression. That's why they scrapped them. And yes, Boyd is Welsh, very good, but do you know what Erik is?

eboyd, Eric, there IS such a thing as Negroid or Caucasoid, c'mon...your Anthropology teacher has different interests than a geneticist for instance. Mr. Obama grew up in an Irish Catholic household, & indeed was known as Barry until his late teens, when he figured using the spelling on the Birth certificate (his fathers name) might give him more credibility in College, seeing as in his potsmoking circle Pantherism & Moslem sounding names were fashionable in his circle then, & would help him distance himself from his Kennedyesque (Camelot lol) upbringing. The fact that the Federal Law in AmeriKKKa states that you're black even if you have 25% (or less) negroid blood is beside the point (No other country has this insane law, not that any racial tag carries a negative connotation in itself). I'm not sure why you mentioned Coons, it seems like a red herring to me. "Blackness" cannot be a purely anthropological/cultural construct, but perhaps, if we look back far enough in human history it DOES become irrelevant because if we go back far enough, all human life begins in AFRICA & only a negroid race exists.
