Dude, wtf happened to my comment?!?!?! I commented HOURS ago! Anyways, lol at Stillmatic being better than MMLP (or SSLP for that matter, which is my favorite Eminem album) and especially at I Am... being better than SSLP LMAO! That shit is hilarious! Is Untitled better than SSLP and MMLP too?

Yes.

IMO, this topic is so irrelevent because both are very different lyricists. As far as consistency goes, neither really is all that consistent to me. After MMLP, Eminem fell off drastically & Nas will drop a heater about once every 2-3 albums but inbetween those heaters, he'll drop a few duds. & would people PLEASE, PLEASE stop calling "Stillmatic" a classic. Just because songs like "Ether" was on that joint, does NOT mean it replaces the few duds on there like "Smokin'", which IMO was nothing but absolute filler. A couple of cuts from that album WOULD of made that a classic but for me, it falls just a tad short from that classic status. Nas' classic album(s) for me was "Illmatic" & "It Was Written". Had "The Lost Tapes" been an actual album, I would of said that too. I forgot who said but whoever did, like they said the problem with Nas is that sometimes his choice of beats leave a LOT to be desired, which I think overall have a significant effect on his albums. I will say tho I think he's ahead of Eminem. Way more versitile in terms of subject of topic (IMO Eminem can be too much of a "shock jock" MC) & a better discography.

Only god can judge me.

MOST RELEVANT POST IN THIS THREAD! thanks you Snoop. you rarely come on here, but when you do, you always bless us with wisdom, even if i disagree with your opinion when you finally let us know what it is. i agree, both are inconsistent and have fallen off lately, but they are comparable. the vote can go either way and this poll is a testament to that.

Much appreciated bro! :D :p

But yeah, definitely with you about their latest material. I really haven't been able to get into their newest stuff at all. When I'm listening to Nas & Eminem nowadays, I always find myself digging for the older albums

well we're on it i don't like the song Got Yourself A Gun, Ether was only good coz of Nas aggression in the last verse and because of how personal the insults got, but if you look at the actual rhymes they're not that impressive, "you no mustache having nigga with whiskers like a rat compared to beanz you're wack" dissing jay-z for not having a mustache?? wtf?? %) TheScience was talking about eminems homo lines what about Nas homo lines in ether and the song "H to the omo"

In my opinion Ether sucked ass.. So did The Takeover.
Stupidest, most over-hyped beef ever.
Ether is probably one of the worst diss songs ever made. Lyrics=Nice. But the beat is anus, along with the flow/delivery, tone, just all of it BESIDES the lyrics were anus.

Oh... and I ran across this on YT after listening to Ether just to make sure I still feel that way (which I do.)
This is true in my opinion.
"Jay-Z is known for alot of things, and some of them are even outside of hiphop. Nas is known for these things.
1) Ether
2) Illmatic
3) Owing Kelis $55,000 A Month On Child Support.
So Jay-Z Won. Takeover Was Just A Strong As Ether. Ya'll Should Be Thanking Jay-Z Because If Jay-Z Didn't Diss Nas On "Takeover" Then Ya'll Would've Never Heard "Ether"."

BAM. muhahahahahaha

lol.

the casual listeners of nas complain to much.

u havent made one good statement about why em is better, just bringing up nas' beat selection as if feminiem can pick out a better beat?

ive gone into great detail in at least 2 posts, and when one of u do its just nas bashing (album not a classic and beats) and it becomes "wisdom" LMAO.
