I see what you're saying about the whole swag thing and it is stupid. i was just trolling earlier. I don't like the word. But it's not gonna go away, and that's just some shit.

wtf? i don't even know what the fuck you were trying to say there... not once did I say anything about OFWGKTA being "gay" or "emo".
The whole emo shit died in 2008 with myspace. I don't know where the fuck you get the idea that i'm the least bit "emo". None of my musical tastes are emo, I really don't give a fuck about girls anymore, and ???
I don't mean to come across as emo when I say shit like "life sucks." I'm not saying it in a sad tone, but just in an apathetic tone. IMO life is cool, and the world is pretty cool I guess, but meh, it's not worth my time to worry about it all. it's just too stressful.
How is that emo?

And what leads you to believe I'm a tool? I've listened to the same 10 or so bands/artists for about a year and half now, and this is the first time I've really jumped on something new. That's half the reason I don't post on hiphop very much, because the majority of the time it's either the same old conversations, or it's some artist I honestly don't give a flying fuck about, because I have all the music I want right here with me already.

And how was I bitching about OFWGKTA? they're dope as fuck. and Tyler the creator's lyrics are damn emo at the least... shit listen to his "bastard" album/mixtape. he raps about how life sucks, how things are fucked up, being demented I.E. the same things that people like Marolyn manson (try to) sing about. just general emotional shit.

i mean shit if you wanna talk about people being tools, they're just a tool as me. they are following clothing trends in america that have been being pushed by corporations like Nike for about 2 years now. the whole skinny jeans, skater look that african-american kids have been rocking for no apperent reason. it's like out of no where LOTS of black kids started wearing traditionally white, suburban skater clothes, even if they didn't skate. that's pretty toolish IMO. no style of their own when it comes to slang/dress/hobbies. then again i don't know them personally. just what i see from my POV.

it's not the greatest thing that has happened in the history of hip hop, or even close to it. i'd call what they are doing pretty ground breaking and their lyrics completely shatter the norms, but musically speaking, their beat choice is not very good, but they are not trying to make dope music, they are making shock value hip hop that is hard to categorize and is dope in its own way and the beats fit in well with what they are doing. i'd say more so than anything, they have mastered and grown accustomed to their specific style, and so regardless of how weird their shit is musically, it comes out dope, especially since these guys actually are pretty good lyricists, and very experimental. while their style is psychotic, it's almost refreshing to hear because it is so different from anything else i've ever heard.

oh, and the word swag is basically my arch nemesis, but that "tell satan i want my swag back" line was the first line involving the word swag that i thought was dope as fuck! props for that. i still hate the word "swag" with a passion.

agreed completely. yeah, i listened to "Yonkers" multiple times too. more so even than the song, that video is great! i will say, though, i do think this is something that will inspire people to do some different shit in hip hop now.
