Quote (eboyd) it's not the greatest thing that has happened in the history of hip hop, or even close to it. i'd call what they are doing pretty ground breaking and their lyrics completely shatter the norms, but musically speaking, their beat choice is not very good, but they are not trying to make dope music, they are making shock value hip hop that is hard to categorize and is dope in its own way and the beats fit in well with what they are doing. i'd say more so than anything, they have mastered and grown accustomed to their specific style, and so regardless of how weird their shit is musically, it comes out dope, especially since these guys actually are pretty good lyricists, and very experimental. while their style is psychotic, it's almost refreshing to hear because it is so different from anything else i've ever heard.
BTW they are all between the ages of 16-23. I'm pretty sure they just use Garage Band or some shit since it's readily available to them. They could do better. They just choose not to.
