because that shit that happen in Afghanistan that I've told you in the PM all this comes from that conflict that's why i always said that this is a political game has nothing to do whit freedom or avenging those that died in the 9-11 attacks this is just conquest for geo-political power and nothing else Chomsky told us sometime ago Wanna stop terrorism ?? stop contributing to it

I see how important your heritage is to you.

I have great respect for my heritage, it's just I don't think submitting to thought from a once primitive source is necessary. But there are many aspects pertaining to the natives understanding of the world/nature that I do support.

here are some great videos (though the maker seems a bit arrogant, much like Richard Dawkins) that seem to be very hard to debunk:

i think this evidence is quite compelling and i don't see how, logically, they can be debunked. do they prove the eternal existence of the universe without a divine creator? no. do they prove the theory of evolution? not exactly, but one video does present evidence, but it is only a backdrop to the true message. this is beside the point though. they simply debunk some of the common misconceptions of what non-believers believe and bring further empirical evidence that has been lost in translation. also, one of the videos shows that non-believers can, in fact, be a moral being. great channel. if you get a chance, check out some of this person's other videos as well.

now, to balance that out, here's a very well constructed creationist argument (though subtle fallacies can be found throughout):

In order for her to give a "good argument" in the eyes of the majority (read=atheist and or/gay supporters) she would have to basically tell them what they wanted to hear on their terms. In doing so she would have to deny her beliefs and give them an answer from THEIR point of view or they wouldn't consider her argument to be a "good" one.

lol

arguments for evolution and the big bang are "good" arguments because there is evidence and a whole bunch of other stuff. saying you have to be spritualy minded to be religious is a "bad" argument cos its just filling your need to feel special and its a throwaway statement.

on that vid: i dunno man maybe im missing a trick but why do people see athiesm as like a collective movement, like we all think the same and have the same thoughts and beliefs. its some bullshit saying athiests cant see a meaning to life or cant understand moral law or whatever, they contradict themselves or they dont have a clue what theyre on about man its nuts

to add on to what ill said, once again, Pen, you assume atheism and "liberalism" is the majority. if it is, then why did California, the most "liberal" state in the US, vote no on proposition 8, a law that would have legalized the right to marriage of a man and a woman? the majority of the US, probably even the rest of the world, is Conservative Christian. that is a fact, even though the number of Liberal non-believers are growing rapidly. maybe in the near future we will see the majority be non-believers, but that is not true in 2009. maybe that's what's to come in 2012 lol just playing! but seriously, that is just an incorrect assumption Pen. now maybe the media that tends to get more positive attention is liberal, but that isn't the majority of people, just like the majority of people do not like Soulja Boy even though it would appear that way in the media. and btw, be careful how you use "liberal" because once we do become the majority, technically you will be a liberal and we will be the conservatives.

To I-Guy: you are Native correct?
Do you suppose that our elders are fools for following the traditional ways of our people and believing in the Great Spirit?
Have you ever listened to anything out elders ahev to say about the matter of "religion" other than some wannabe AIM-type cats who only lump religion onto the "Christianity" that the white man brought?
How many atheist Natives do you know?

LOL comparing Christianity whit the Native religions is kinda wrong the tolerance the Natives presented is very big in comparing the tolerance some Christians present now days even back then they had communal life's but individuality was more flourished then in the capitalist Christian west they did hold to their traditions but they didn't bother no one that's why they were massacred in such why because most of them were good people and in general good people are taken as fools.

^^^Good videos, but I do agree a bit, the guy does seem a bit arrogant but then again creationists are even more arrogant so it doesn't bug me too much.

I'm okay with your average Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Jew or whatever, but those fucking lying ass Creationists and Apologists I can't fucking stand. Those are the one's that I get straight disgusted with, because they go around parading their beliefs arrogantly. They're asking for brutal insults on their beliefs.
