Quote (8Diagrams) Care to elaborate on this being part of it? Not questioning you, just curiosity. Specifically linguistics and philology. You have to understand how ideas get passed from culture to culture and how the ideas morph through differentiations in the language, not to mention flat out misunderstandings and intentional changes (ehm ehm *King James*). Also you have to understand the way ancient languages were used at the time and how we interpret them now. I forgot sociology is also important. Anthropology as well.
We all know that each of our end is near; the question is do we accept the end of our living existence, or do we accept our existence as dead men...

Quote (8Diagrams) That's easily explained. Clinical death causes brainwaves to mess up and see all kinds of hallucinations. This doesn't say FOR CERTAIN that there is no heaven, but it's just an idea. Well when someone dies, a large amount of DMT is relesed immidiatly, which can produce hallucenations for up to 30 minutes, and aftereffects last up to an hour. After that it is gone. DMT is also what makes you dream. But ive heard stories about people who have been dead for a few days, or even just a few hours and they come back and tell what happened. I think the thing RIGHT after death is whatever you think it is. You beleive in hell, its hell. Heaven-Heaven. Also, this is a serious question. Why do they call it "king james" if jesus is the king of christanity? Added (25/Jul/09, 10:05 Pm) ---------------------------------------------
Quote (I_Guy) That's not good for society. but we will NEVER all agree or think the same. Thats wishful thinking.

He was a King who edited the Bible and omitted some stories I think to fit his kindness idk I forgot Quote (ilikebacon3000) But ive heard stories about people who have been dead for a few days, or even just a few hours and they come back and tell what happened. thats false....If you dont respond for 30 MINUTES (meaning your heart)....its over.....let alone a few days? thats bull LMAO! No, Meth is pretty much right, though King James didn't actually edit it himself, he had someone from his clergy (the King ruled everything including the church at the time, though outside of the King, the church had more power than anyone else in the country) interpret an older version of a (probably Latin) Bible and he was heavily involved in the process, making sure that they interpreted it exactly how he wanted them to.

wow 8 pages in one day? now heres my little two cents: nice to hear bacon that you ...were 'touched' by in your church camp, but all i got to say is you need to be slow in making conclusions lest (lest?) you stumble and make a mistake...many people are moved when they hear a recitation of the quran and all of a sudden convert without looking into it more... Quote (ilikebacon3000) I already have come to my own conclusions in religon itsself. For example, I realized even though I attend a baptist church, I refuse to worry or beleive in an eternal hell, and I also dont think you have to be baptised to go to heaven. I think that most sins can be justified in certain circumstances. eternal hell is a pretty standard belief in Christianity, i already showed you several verses in the Bible proving this...just because the idea sounds horrible in your eyes doesnt make it false...you can think of it this way: Jesus being the doctor who has prescribed the medication (believing in Him) so that we may not die but live (heaven/hell)...its available, but we still have to take it upon ourselves to receive the medicine, its not God who sends a person to hell, its the person him/herself Quote (ilikebacon3000) I am now a Christan. A true one. Drop the demnominations, I don't beleive in that. I just beleive in one christan church. by one Christian church i assume you mean the people or members in the body of Christ...well...these people are found in the church(es)/denominations...the only reason they exist is different beliefs on how theyre saved, i like to think of it as a tree with many branches, but they're still one...what im saying is that we need the church to grow spiritually

hey sodr check this guy out hes pretty cool Also idk what everyone else will think of it, but I think its pretty cool that hes able to do this. The video is a little cheesy but the song is sick IMO except the hook but the first verse is pretty nice. Also I just simply dont understand the logic in an eternal hell. It just doesent seem logical. A hell=yes. an eternal hell=no. Let's agree to disagree for now until I read the bible all the way through, which wont be a for a year at least, and on top of that I will prolly wanna analyze it and let it sink in after reading it.
