why did god flood the world then?

if He flooded the world after Jesus, then you have a point

So then how does he uphold "justice?" He is supposed to be a "just" god. What's his definition of justice? Forgiving people if they bribe him with praise?

We all know that each of our end is near; the question is do we accept the end of our living existence, or do we accept our existence as dead men...

God is supposed to know what is really in a persons heart, so its not a case of just bribing with praise

forgiving people because He took care of "justice" on the cross...its more complicated than that tho

You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

i think it depends as many have said here...now i honestly think prison is to scare people into acting "right"...come on how does a life sentence help a person if they never get what they "learned" to use in real life...now honestly would you rather live in a shitty cell for life or just die...probably die...atleast eventually when you can't take living in a prison anymore...i have VERY mixed feelings on this...i would have to research it more as right now i am typing out of opinions not research of any kind...so many things to read up on...i'm thirsty for knowledge right now...hmm

Altho he missed the Death Penalty, i think Jeffery Dahmer
shouldn't have been locked up i mean so what if he Brutally murdered/raped/mutalated/cannibalized/etc etc
i mean who doesnt do that these days.

also Why lock up people like say Joel Rifkin he killed filthy hookers he shouldnt have gone
to jail.

The problem is, we forget that we are animals who have become complex in the brain. But we came from simplicity. When situations get tense, we revert to our most basic state. But then there are premeditated crimes, which should be subject to psychoanalysis. Also, education is a key factor in preventing physical crimes. That's why criminals should be educated so that they can 1. be rehabilitated back into society to function properly, and 2. realize the error in their ways.

To use incarceration as a tool for revenge is simply primitive.

THANK YOU! seriously man, i think prison should be a place of rehabilitation, not punishment. i laugh when idiots like my father say "what if someone killed your sister? wouldn't you want revenge? wouldn't you want them killed?" no, i would want them to be rehabilitated so that they will realize that we define felonious homicide as wrong in our society and they need to be conditioned to follow the rules before being returned to function in our society.

lol i can't believe how immature i was, you guys are right
