It sounds like you contradicted yourself with those two statements. How can regulation start because of corruption, yet without out regulation there would be no corruption?

Because there is corruption with regulation. Why do you think we have the federal reserve? Regulation of businesses so they don't become too successful? So much regulation with airports? Regulation in the prescription drug industry?

Quote (I_Guy)

I say we can prevent corruption if we eliminate the monetary systems (and all its attributes), and there would be no need for government or regulation.

And I say even if you eliminate monetary systems bartering and black markets will still arise. just like it always has, and just like it always will because resources are limited.

I agree there is corruption with regulation. But there would be corruption without regulation, and it would possibly be even worse.

Wrong, lack of resources is a notion carried over from our past when things actually were scarce. Technology can and has reversed scarcity. If we properly utilized technology, scarcity would vanish (especially scarcity of necessities). Capitalism right now is riding on the idea that resources are scarce, because they used to be before modern technology. It's been riding on that notion for decades now and it becomes more of a lie every new decade. They use money as a method of creating and regulating the illusion of scarcity. Modern scarcity is created by the monetary system. It is an artificial scarcity created by big businesses to suck profits out of the weak. There is no actual scarcity of goods. Millions of people starve to death everyday, meanwhile red lobster tosses buckets of wasted seafood in the dumpster in the middle of landlocked Kansas. There is no damn scarcity.

Name something that you think is scarce?

Turn people loose on each other, it sure as hell would.

Steel.

Meh, it is most likely a manufactured scarcity. Even if it is scarce, there is alternatives to steel, not to mention the amount of steel that is available to be recycled that we seem to rather want to throw away.

If there is an entity protecting individuals' rights then no it wouldn't.

...right, well I'm not going to argue this because we both know how it's going to turn out. I'm gonna claim a resource that is scarce or not abundant enough to provide for the 7 billion people on this planet, and back it up with evidence. You're just going to say the evidence is bullshit and that there is enough of the resource or that machines will handle our problems.

Possibly one of the three, but any way, one of them will be right. You would disagree because you're pulled into the illusions of the current system.
