and, like NtG said, change up the fugly intro

working on that right now
Quote (eboyd)
btw, you know how to count bars, right

I know how to count the basic 1,2,3,4 in one bar if thats wat ur asking?
Quote (eboyd)
anyways, that aside, this is by far your best beat i've heard yet. keep up the good work and maybe i'll bless you with a verse

SWEET!!!!
Quote (eboyd)
is the hook where you have the higher pitched electronic piano sound come in? if so, you need to make your verses longer and usually you actually put the fuller sounds in the hook and drop some sound in the verses, not the other way around.

okay thx I was confused with why my verses sounded fuller
Quote (eboyd)
the acoustic, lower pitched piano sound is fuller than the other one, but it does work for your hook

r u talking about the bass?

Quote (eboyd)
i like what you did with that last hook where you had both pianos playing at the same time. you should do that for all your hooks on this beat

I was thinking I should do that too before I even laid them in the pattern
Quote (eboyd)
other than that you should lengthen your verses to 16 bars (just the standard. you can have as many as you like, but 8 is way too short especially if your hook is going to be the standard 8 bars too)

ok Im on it

you obviously know what a bar is. that is all i needed to know. if you know what a bar is you know how to count them unless you don't know how to count biggrin

NOOOO!!!! keep your verse the same but don't cut the piano from your verse out of your hook, just add the electric piano on top of it.

OOOOH ok and for my verse keep the normal piano I had playing right?

and after I done that, I think it would sound empty in my verse without another sound in there so Im going to try and find little do-da's to add in there

lol, you may not notice it, but in your favorite songs there are like 5 different melodies going on all at the same time. most of the melodies' volumes are turned down so you can barely hear them, but it definitely adds a lot of ambiance.

I noticed that a while back when I first started making beats

I was like wtf?! How did they get all those sounds to blend perfectly?

So yea I gotta get that down on top of other things

Dont u need to balance the sounds out like have a high pitch sound, a medium pitch sound, and then a low pitch sound to keep them balanced?

Okay heres my updated version with all of the advice I have taken from u guys
I have not added any Do-Da's into the verses yet, but by tomorrow I think I will have enough to make the verses sound less empty
