What's been going on in everybody's music players lately? Hip Hop? Which artists? Rock? Which bands? R&B? Which singers?
Hip Hop:
Damu the Fudgemunk & Raw Poetic - Streamline, really good song and sick beat Saukarates - Say I (song that came out last year, pretty slept on, Saukarates worked with Drake before Drake became famous and you can heard a similar style at times but unlike Drake, Saukrates actually raps and doesn't sing in that stupid voice) Nas - The Don, (brand new nas track, i may have already played it out though lol Big KRIT - Red Eye (brilliant song, but i have to admit its the only song i listen to from that mixtape, i might actually get into the others later but it takes time to get into them coz i usually don't listen to that style)
Pop:
because of where i work now, we have the radio playing so i have no choice but to listen to pop on the radio, there are some songs on there that i think are pretty decent though
I been listening to alot of R&B and Alternative Rock lately. Tryna balance out my ear with the big 3 genres lol Hip Hop, R&B, and Alt. Rock.
In Alt. Rock I been listening to Shoegazing, Dream Pop, Piano Rock bands. They're very melodic, smooth, dreamy. Just my style of music. If I wanna listen to some hard rock, I'd just listen to Nirvana. My top 10 bands are (and don't throw the nails at me. Its just Rock.) 1. Coldplay (They'er new album was tight so idc wat anybody has to say about that. U can hate all u want, but that was their best album by far. Blow me.) 2. The Fray (Their new album sucked but their first album is a personal classic of mine.) 3. Thirteen Senses 4. Keane 5. Radiohead 6. VersaEmerge 7. Travis 8. Saxon Shore (They're an instrumental Dream Pop band. All Hip Hop samplers should check them out, for real.) 9. Gorillaz 10. Arctic Monkeys
I'm always looking for new bands so if y'all have any, just tell me. I'd check em out. None of that Metal shit tho lol black people don't listen to that mess. Sick With It
but yeah my LSD-induced thirst for psychedelic and experimental rock music simply cannot be quenched, with every band I check out I find 10 more that are worth listening to. As far as hip-hop, I still spin my favorites regularly but my intake of new hip-hop has kinda slowed down, in the past few weeks I finally checked out Company Flow and Organized Konfusion but I think that's about it
as far as some new bands for you, you ever heard of anything like Alcest or Lantlos and such? Think you might like it, pretty much this new trendy style from France which fuses shoegaze with some aesthetic elements from black metal, but it's not very extreme or harsh music at all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PmCb9OiFYQ&feature=relmfu Rep the bay

I'm liking that Alcest band! Just the sound I like! Good looking out my guy! Im downloading their album RITE NOW. Sick With It
The guy was actually pretty innovative and important as far as metal drumming has evolved. He released a hip-hop album once, not particularly amazing but pretty cool just to see a guy who's famous for death metal drumming making something so different. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTTgPMDHjxs
the double kick drums on the beat are so legit haha Rep the bay

oh dude noooooo. Their album from 2000 is the good one, ever since that damn hit they had in 2003 all they've ever done was remake that same song over and over with lame hooks http://chirbit.com/emseed http://youtube.com/siwooot

Their first album was the shit too. I agree you with about their middle albums tho. I aint like them nearly as much. They weren't memorable at all. Mylo Xyloto and Parachutes are classics tho. Sick With It
Getting back into hip hop I used to bump a lot but more or less forgot about. Like Three Times Dope's first two albums, Masta Ace, Slick Rick, One Self, Prince Paul's "Prince Among Thieves" and pretty much everything he's done, Eminem's "SSLP" and "MMLP" been on heavy rotation. Actually doing the same thing with other music recently. Just falling back on the old and familiar. Guess I'm cowardly when it comes to new stuff :0 Been Linkin Park's first 2, Gorillaz's "Demon Days", POD, Týr (viking metal boii!) and Kansas, George Benson and Marvin Gaye :] :)
