Jehuniko's European promo album, "Shipwreck Diaries" produced by Denmark's OgenF is now available on www.upinit.dk just follow the link and do a right click on the image and download the album. Jehuniko recorded 3 of the songs while on tour in Denmark last February and then the Dead Silence artist recorded the remaining songs in the US and features NYC's Capital X, Denmark's Two Towers, Mexico DF's Karim, LA's Spoken Mind and more. OgenF has been a staple on the European hip hop scene for a long time and while on tour in Europe with Capital X in October 2010, he was introduced to OgenF by Capital X. Jehuniko heard some of his production and inquired about the slow haunting bangers and learned that these beats were produced in the 90s.
On Die Rap Zombie, you hear Jehuniko going in on wack perpetrating plastic hip hop and on Streets of Gold, you hear Jehuniko melodically giving you a feel good song over a hammering slow rumble. Jehuniko was recently on tour in Europe and celebrated this release with an album release party in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Mike Tyson (Single) by Awon & Kameleon Beats, Mike Tyson is a vivid picture of the seedy underworld of drugs in the inner city painting the players and crooked cops as monsters. The story is narrated in first person to show that the narrator is in fact walking through a period of darkness while immersed in the street life.
The goal was to paint a picture of the ignorance that exist in our poverty stricken areas as well as to bring attention to the fact that the path that lies ahead is not easy to walk on with any measures
OptiMace is the result of an intensive musical cooperation between DJ Mace and DJ Optimus, both initiators of Dutch record label Fremdtunes. On the free digital EP 'This music is not music' - out just a few months after their debut EP 'Used Future' - OptiMace takes you on another tour de music. Inspired by movies from the 1950's, books from the 19th century, hiphop from the 1990's and electronic music from the 21st century, OptiMace serves the listener abstract jazz-licks, sample-based soundscapes, boombapdrumpatterns and vintage synthstrains. The two invited Belgium saxophone player Erwin Vann and multi-instrumentalist Shycop to complete the songs. OptiMace is currently compiling 'Used Future' remixes for an upcoming release, and has recently put out a mix for the Wax Poetics.
Torae performs the first leak from his highly-anticipated debut LP, For The Record, live from Brooklyn’s Public Assembly.
Torae will be releasing his debut LP, “For The Record,” on 11-1-2011, featuring production from DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, Khrysis, Marco Polo, !llmind, Pete Rock, Diamond D, Buckwild, Nottz, Large Professor, Fatin (and Torae as well). I have included the essential LP information below.
Hip hop recording artist Torae announces his upcoming debut offering; For The Record, on his Internal Affairs Entertainment imprint. Slated for release on November 1, 2011 the album is an ample fifteen tracks worth of high-caliber production and impeccable rhyme.
For The Record is sure to transcend the expectations of new listeners and staunch supporters alike, with veteran MCs like Masta Ace heralding it as his greatest contribution thus far.
“The combination of stellar production and a focused and more introspective Torae makes this his best work to date,” the fellow Brooklyn native stated.
Known for a roster of impressive collaborations, Torae has assembled an awe-inspiring crew of beatsmiths for accompaniment. From the renowned Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Diamond D and Large Professor; to those Torae labels “new legends,” 9th Wonder, Khrysis, Fatin, Illmind, Eric G., Marco Polo and Nottz.
For The Record raises the bar Torae has set with previous releases. A refreshing return to the multifarious nature of 2008’s “Daily Conversation”, the project is a notable change from 2009’s Double Barrel with Marco Polo, and this year’s mono-thematic Heart Failure EP. Fans will hear his skills sharpened; an array of cadences and intricately weaved rhyme patterns. He is also at his most vulnerable and transparent; providing a view through a wide-angle lens at the man behind the MC, as heard on “Panorama” and “Reflection.” Still there’s no shortage of the hard-hitting audacity we love on tracks like “Shakedown” and “You Ready.”
Also distinct is the absence of other voices on For The Record. According to Torae, the choice to forego lyrical assists was deliberate. “No one can tell my story like me,” he asserted.
Stay tuned for webisodes documenting Torae’s creative voyage during the making of For The Record.
