Hell yeah man the Untouchables is the shit also. You notice most of these films come from a circle of the same directors. Francis Ford Coppola Martin Scorsese Brian DePalma Sergio Leone

What is with hip hop heads and gangster movies? I've never understood the hype. Like OK, yeah, The Godfather, The Untouchables, The Goodfellas, and more recently, American Gangster, were all dope. I fucking hated Scarface but that is besides the point. What is all the hype. I mean seriously, porn >>>>>>>>> Gangster movies But all joking aside, I'd rather watch a movie like Shawshank Redemption any day.

Quote (ill) did you ever see the departed? Oh Yes. Gangster movies are so hyped because they represent alot in society. Like Menace said, they also consist of all the elements of cinema: action, well written dialogue, intense themes, sensationalism, musical scores, drama, comedy, social commentary, human conflict, society conflict. They basically contain everything.

Quote (Menace) Slumdog Millionaire Agreed. Except for the end when they're all dancing and shit, wtf?? They played a story that has been done before, but I think they reinvented it big time. (You know the whole "lost love" scenario)

Quote (Joker13) i wanna punch you. me and my dad have every single version of scarface you can find and multiple posters that movie is amazing Agreed, the movie is amazing, but I do feel it is a bit exploitive, but still fucking hands down great. It's truely cinematic. A bit over the top, but still very well done.
