The movie for me was kinda disappointing.
Another thing, Biggie himself was a raw MC. Biggie with Diddy, was a totally different thing. Avoiding putting any labels, he wasn't raw at all, he followed most trends of the time.
I point you at a mixtape that dropped a few years ago, called Ready To Die (The OG Edition).
If you compare the albums, you can see obviously the changes that Diddy made, just to boost the sales.
My point is Diddy = Corporate Bitch.
