why you think there is more musical diversity in the underground then in the mainstream that example fits whit my idea while i can find that guy in the underground i can find in the same place MF DOOM while in the mainstream i can't find that in the mainstream is a one horse town while the underground is a stable LOL biggrin

i dunno how to word what im trying to say but i can go and cop their cd in the record store, thats more then i can say for most artists. theyre not big in the way everyone knows there name but alot of people that are into hip hop have heard their names. we cant really compare them to soulja boy and whoever because they are the most sucsessful artists

no, not at all. they do not reach the mainstream airwaves, therefore they are underground. simple as that. they may be closer than, say, Heiruspecs, but they are still definitely underground.

biggrin angry angry LOL if you show that video to a dude that is outside of everything we know and ask him do you think this dude is mainstream he will say YES because he fits in the mainstream trends while if you show MF DOOM to this outside dude and ask him where he is he will say underground because DOOM is more experimental and experimentation in the mainstream is close to NONE

did I make a valid point now ?? sad

Underground has absolutely NOTHING to do with style, genre, sound or anything! ......I've said it a million times here - Underground is simply a POSITION. It don't matter if their records are in stores or not...shit, I bought Vordul Mega, Pumpkin Head, The B.U.M.s and all kinds of other underground shit in the record store....and I'm in Canada, so being able to find something in the record store doesn't make them mainstream..........it's where the artist is at from an industry standpoint. I can say tho', a lot of artist choose to stay underground because they'd rather reach a certain fan base(people who appreciate the art and shit, not trend followers).....so in that sense(fanbase), underground has somewhat become a movement/lifestyle but not for the artists or the music itself.

"the underground has more dope artists than wack and the mainstream has more wack than dope"

I wouldn't say that, lol. Theres actually A LOT of bullshit underground music. The whole underground scene in San Diego is wack. It's rlly just the few talented underground artists u hear about tho.

livin life like some cheesy movie
