I always love finding an album that know one else has heard of that is ridiculously solid and good. Anyone have any gems from lesser known artists that they would like to share. I am pretty tapped out and looking for some new stuff. I will go through my collection when I get home and build on this. Peace

Artist - Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf Album - Big Shots I'm not sure if it was popular wherever your at, but it's a classic album to me. It sounds a lot older than it is. The way I understand it, it was recorded around 1990, but not released until the early 2000's. Track 05 - Red Light Green Light http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzMTLWns3sM

Thanks for the tip. I know about the ]video[ tag but was juss saving space, thinking there may be many vids on this page eventually. Check the iTunes or Amazon previews of Big Shots or listen to everything they've done for free at grooveshark.com.

Absolute classic to me too. I'll add these: INI - Center of Attention Scienz of Life - Diggin' In The Archives Blu & Exile - Below The Heavens Y-Society -Travel At Your Own Pace (if you liked the INI joint you will also surely like this) Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy - Hypocrisy Is The Greatest Luxury Percee P - Perseverance Edan - Beauty And The Beat Brother Ali - Undisputed Truth Aesop Rock - Labor Days Saul Williams - Saul Williams Antipop Consortium - Shopping Carts Crashing King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader (it's MF DOOM but he barely even raps here. It's more featured artists -- including MIC artists, specifically MF Grimm -- on some of DOOM's best beats). And if you can handle super-experimental shit... Dalek - Abandoned Language

Forgot to mention Cannibal Ox (they only have 1 album and I forgot the name) Also, I've been meaning to check "Funcrusher Plus" by Company Flow. The tracks I've heard thus far are dope and I want to hear the rest. If you hear them first let me know if it's good.

thanks all, i co-sign the following that were mentioned: Cannibal Ox- The Cold Vein Company Flow- Funcrusher Plus Scienz of Life - Diggin' In The Archives Edan - Beauty And The Beat Aesop Rock - Labor Days King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader (it's MF DOOM but he barely even raps here. It's more featured artists -- including MIC artists, specifically MF Grimm -- on some of DOOM's best beats). boyd put up a bunch of good ones and def. finish that company flow album. an underground classic. Here are some from my stash that I recommend: Diablo Archer- Lift Akir- Legacy Wisemen- Wisemen Approaching Binary Star- Masters of the Universe Sabac- The Ritual O.U.O- of unkown Origin Danny- Where is Danny? OneManArmyProject F.E.T.U.S. Emanon- The Waiting Room (The producer Exile who is doing it pretty big right now was in this group with aloe blacc. pretty dope IMO) Shotgun Wedding Quintet- Shotgun Wedding Quintet Bronze Nazereth- The Great Migration Anything by Blue Sky Black Death, J-Live or MF Grimm is also heavily co-signed by me Added (02/Mar/10, 1:18 PM) --------------------------------------------- yo boyd, since you love saul williams have you ever heard the track twice for the first time? its off a album called black whole styles and its easily one of my favorite tracks ever:

Quote (EYAR15) Shad - when this is over The Old Prince is a much better starting point for Shad. Very accessible album. Cyne - Evolution Fight They have other great albums (Time Being and Water For Mars) but no matter what listen to the song Pretty Apollo from Water for Mars. Song of the Year '09 no doubt.
