Man ya'll seem to be so against anything with any mainstream sound. I fucking love Without Me. Guilty Conscience wasn't bad either. The Real Slim Shady wasn't HORRIBLE. Ya'll are acting like you can determine which rapper is better... You can't. It's a matter of personal opinion. Bottom line, I'm sure we can all agree that Nas and Eminem both were very influentual rappers, that Eminem may have fell off recently, that Nas stayed true for the most part, and that both rappers are very talented, or else they wouldn't be where they are. End?
Life's a bitch and I'm just along for the ride.

End? agree with what u said, im not against the mainstream sound which is why i made a thread asking eric why he thinks nas sold out wit the rick ross song which i think is dope. not gonna get into that. point is, what u said was mostly tru actually. but, were not gonna stop talking about it, cos theres nothing else great goin on in rhhf in the hip hop discusion forum ne wayz rly. so why stop n let u have the last word when u havent rly said much in this thread? it will eventually die but why do u n lordmeth wanna see n end to this topic? does it anoy u or something? bottom line is, does it rly matter? no.. maybe i wanna keep talkin about how great nas is, did u think of that.. jk jk.

fav song by Eminem: either "I Just Don't Give A Fuck" or "Role Model" fav song by Nas: probably either "NY State of Mind" or "Nas Is Like" (i'm a bigger fan of Premo than i am of Nas as you can see).

Quote (ThaScience) and whats with everyone not liking nas in the 2000s? lmao his newer shit is on and off. nothing new by Nas is touching his old shit. i mean i like "Made You Look", "Ether" "QGTM", "HHID", etc., but not even these can touch "NY State of Mind" or "Nas is Like".

^ OBVISOULY, ALL NAS FANS KNOW THIS. BUT ITS CHILDISH TO JUDGE ANYTHING NOW TO THE 90S. BE IT, NAS, WU-TANG, EMINEM, ETC. most fans on rhhf only heard illmatic in the last 5 years. its not nas' fault u didnt listen to it in the 90s. he moved on.. it was 16 years ago damn it. thats a long ass time. i dont expect em to make another smilm shady lp which his fans are crying out for cos he made the song underground.. its not gonna happen.

If ur a real fan of the artist, and not a casual listener (theres a difference). Then ul appreciate and anticipate Distant Relatives and/or Relapse 2. and not just talk about how great illmatic was when u jus heard it in the last few yrs lol, or mmlp.

Quote (ThaScience) If ur a real fan of the artist, and not a casual listener (theres a difference). Masta Ace, for example, has been around since the 80's, but he put out his best two albums in the mid 2000's (Disposable Arts and A Long Hot Summer). but regardless of that, i am expecting DR, but not Relapse 2 so much, and i consider myself a casual listener of each. it's simple. with any artist, if i have a hunch that the album will be dope, i'll listen. if i think it will likely be wack, i don't bother. if i'm borderline about it, i DL the leak and if it's dope, i buy the album, if it's not, i let the leak ferment in my collection forever (which is what i did with Untitled) lol.

im not mad lol, its just most rappers from the 90s golden age dont repeat the sound and culture that was happenin in the 90s. masta ace is a good example of the other hand but it rarly happens.. its like if wu fans think rza is gonna make beats like glaciers of ice or cold world or cream again.. well, u know.. duhhh. same with illmatic/it was written and em with sslp/mmlp i think nas can do another stillmatic dough, get az and premo, do some consicous shit.. at the same time, the kelis situation might bring that emotion back like he was in one mic.. when he was talkin about carmen.. remember the swellin my mellon bit lol. i think em can do abother eminem show type album.. that was good. i hoep relapse 2 is different from the first cos that accent is dumb as fuk.. and some subject matter is abit tooo gay. i just wanted to say this to snoop btw.. i heard everything what u said, but i was listenin to smokin today, its not that bad.. if thats a filler n makes stillmatic not a classic, then wot bout the gay skit/interlude em has on mmlp? lmao. i deleted that yrs ago. wit me i listen to ablums from start t finish, when im on the tube/underground i dont have time to be shufelin the songs around, cos im not givin up my elbow rest lol. so thast why ive got ALOT of time to listen to albums from start to finish and take in EVERYTHING. if u listen to it at home ur on the internet, watchin tv, 360 and whatever.. not rly takin in the album, just songs.. if no what i mean. il def go back and listen to relpase on wednesday on the tube.. but i think ive heard enough anyway.. so it prob wnt change my opinion. hmm didnt plan to write this much again, jus sorta flows out.
