Ok so if wat most of yall are saying is tru that a CD is classic if u dont have to skip any songs is a classic

THEN to me Untitled is a classic cuz I can play that CD and just listen to the whole thing

no, because there are plenty albums i can listen to all the way through, but that doesn't mean that they have replay value, and even if they do, are they so good that they put you in that zone? you know what i mean, like you are in the music itself just zoning out to it. it isn't a classic if the majority of the tracks don't put you in that state. if all the tracks are listenable that just means it wasn't a bad album.

1 - dope ass lyrics
2 - dope beats
3 - dope concept ( i mean that there should be skits, some things that make the album "alive")

Ummm......... What about albums by hip hop bands? The Roots? Heiruspecs? Are they any less hip hop than those who sample? I use no samples ever (I may start to a little though). Does that mean I can't possibly make a hip hop classic?

Ok ill, fair enough, but does that mean that a Roots album that doesn't use a single sample could never get a perfect score in your book? Not making a judgment, just asking.

samples add onto the dopeness but arnt required, nothing should be required when it comes to albums - just how well its done
