man more than half way through the year and it seems like 2011 has been a really quiet for hip hop, i think i've heard about 1 or 2 full albums from this year so far, but i don't know of any albums or songs from this year that are dope.
what are some gems from 2011 so far? or what is the best album from 2011 so far?

Check ''Neek The Exotic and Large Professor - Still On The Hustle". Lyrics are pretty average but Large Pro's production sounds like straight '90s!
Reks' R.E.K.S. is pretty good
If you care for Canadian hip-hop, check Classfied's Hand Shakes and Middle Fingers album. His best album so far
Cunninlynguists released a nice album. I expected MUCH more than that but it's still worth of checking. This track is arguably their best song that is NOT connected to any concept
If you like Tech N9ne, he released a dope album. Nothing new, the same regular dope shit from him
Wu-Tang Clan dropped their new compilation album too. It's actually better than 8 Diagrams and Iron Flag (but it's not hard to accomplish lol)
That's all. 2011 sucks. Bad Meets Evil's EP was average. Raekwon's album sucked dick.

2011 doesn't suck. not the best year EVUR, but better than last year.

2011 has been dead. The only good thing Ive heard all year was a Los mixtape, Worth the Wait. Everything else isn't even hitting my radar. Very disappointed lol good thing I've gotten into Alt. Rock and R&B to keep me preoccupied.
