What began this thread: http://realhiphop4ever.ucoz.com/forum/12-1890-1 Religious folks need to give up.
We all know that each of our end is near; the question is do we accept the end of our living existence, or do we accept our existence as dead men...

Quote (TheWatcher) God created humans and was extremely proud of his creation. Perhaps even more than when he created his angels (which is why Lucifer got upset). the same psychological critique can be applied to God whit his angels as we applied to God and humans is pretty much the same shit smells funky really really funk and i think shit got lost in translation too

Quote (Menace) a divine being that reached the highest forms of serenity doesn't even need worshipers if you had children wouldn't you expect them to respect you? is that imperfect? is that wrong? no.

Quote (Menace) it's too long the message text simply as it says LOL lol good one....i didnt loose anything...lets see if i can post some.... Quote (Menace) if he loves and hates it's contradictory to the principle of supreme consciousness emotions are part of the basic human mind if he is so divine he elevated to the next stage so submitting to such basic instincts is kinda ridiculous even though i still dont understand this argument completely (never even heard of it, and if it's so solid, why isn't it famous? i cant even find it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...._in_God ) but anyways you know that we were made in God's image? we were initially perfect and sinless....God gave us emotions, they come from HIM and so he also has them as well....why is emotions a weakness? why should it be? a weakness would definitely be if one was unable to control how they respond/react to these emotions...for eg. if someone punched me, and i was filled with anger, it means nothing, i can still be "perfect"...however, if i punch him back, then i'll be defeated by my emotions and you would consider me weak....and we all know God responds and deals with everything justly. don't know if this is relevant.... God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (Numbers 23:19) Quote (I_Guy) This is now contradictory because if god in fact has emotion, then he will make the same catastrophic mistakes that humans do, therefore contradicting his perfection. i still don't see what's the problem with emotions......i can see where you're going if emotions are in fact a weakness, therefore contradicting his perfection, but so far i still don't know why emotions are qualities of only imperfect beings Quote (I_Guy) He is supposed to be perfect, right? Yet we were made in his image? Why aren’t we perfect and why has he created imperfection? If he is perfect, he should only be able to create perfection, right? But let's say he is sooo perfect that he can transcend to create imperfection. Why would anyone want to create imperfection? does the bible say God created us imperfect? no. God initially made us perfect and sinless...and he loves us obviously since we're his creation, that he wants to have a relationship with us. we know you cant force love on someone...if i was a muslim i could probably force a woman to marry me, but there would never be that true love.....so what does God do? he gives us freewill, the ability to choose him or reject him...unfortunately, we rejected him, therefore kicked out of "the garden", ie perfection and were punished to imperfection Quote (I_Guy) Why create anything at all? Why create so much universe for only one small colony of life? the bible says "it was good"....things can please God, whether its "a small colony of life" or an entire universe Quote (I_Guy) Why create life that must butcher and slaughter other forms of life just for a means to survive. I mean think about it, it's quite demented. Creatures having to rip each others guts out, tear the flesh of each others throats wide open and spill the blood through their teeth, chewing and crunching and pulling apart each other just to survive, all in pain. Why must creature exist in such agony? What the fuck was your god thinking???? its better once you receive some sort of clarification for you to go on and say "wtf was he thinking" anyways, like i said, adam and eve fell into sin by the devil...the devil as you probably know was banished from heaven out of his greed to be like god....then the Bible says that the devil came into the garden to defeat adam and eve (and why not the rest of the animal kingdom as well?) satan could have easily defeated the animals compared to adam and eve, thus bringing suffering into animal life....which ties into what you say here Quote (I_Guy) Surely there is a better way? One could almost think this world was designed by the devil himself. now... Quote (I_Guy) So if your god exists, he must be an evil one. There's is infinite ways all of this could have been done better. Explain that shit to me. You have to imagine if you were going to create a universe. Would you want this shit happening to your creations? If you do, well, there is something terribly wrong there. God (of the Bible) is a just God....if we betray him, the sight of sin cannot and should not be in his presence, therefore where there is not God, there is suffering. it is us who are evil, not God...and guess what? dispite all this there is the perfect way "all of this could have been better": Jesus...He redeemed us from our sins, and if we believe in Him, we can live in everlasting happiness so i don't see what you're complaining about Quote (I_Guy) The mere fact that he created imperfection makes him imperfect. until you find me a quote in the Bible where it says God created satan the devil, or subjected suffering to adam and eve, etc, you cannot say this. God never creates imperfection. nothing imperfect comes from perfection and vice versa Quote (I_Guy) The fact that he destroys and kills makes him imperfect, because a "perfect" thinking mind would never do that, it would find another way. i wonder if you think killing someone in a war is justified....anyways there are no "other ways" of dealing with the people back then....why don't you complain about death as a punishment of betraying God in the garden? if souls are destined for hell, then it is wrong for them to continue staying alive and sinning against God if they're not going to change their ways (yes, the people back then were described like this) Jeremiah 15:7 I will winnow them with a winnowing fork at the city gates of the land. I will bring bereavement and destruction on my people, for they have not changed their ways. FOR....BECAUSE....the REASON for "destroying and killing" is because "they have not changed their ways." Quote (I_Guy) The great flood destroyed the worlds people because they were "evil" by god's standards. How could they all be evil? If they were all evil, wouldn't they have in one way or another wiped themselves out? because they were evil? probably they wouldve wiped themselves out, i dont know Quote (I_Guy) Now let's change it, let's say they weren't actually evil, perhaps they simply didn't worship god. Somehow that is justification for murdering them, and all the innocent creature of the earth? huh? why change it and criticize what you came up with, when this is not found in the Bible? show me a verse where God says "i will destroy them for not knowing who i am"....MAYBE there is, i dont know, but its highly unlikely Quote (I_Guy) Imagine if that shit happened today. These actions by God really blurs the value of life. doesnt happen today. after Jesus came, he conquered sin and death...now we all have the chance to change our hearts, so God doesn't punish us, but waits on us...we don't have "hearts of stone" but we now have the Holy SpiritAdded (29/May/09, 8:39 Pm) ---------------------------------------------
Quote (I_Guy) Furthermore, why give man the ability to do evil? Because if God is perfect and if evil cannot exist within perfect, then why would he create it or allow it to exist? God didn't give us the ability to DO evil, he gave us the ability to CHOOSE evil, or in other words, reject Him, relating back to what i said about forced love/free will...this is why he created the tree of knowledge so we may choose to love Him freely instead of being forced to Quote (I_Guy) Moreover, isn't it quite convenient that a heaven and a hell exists. If you were to ask anyone what they want most (that isn't material) they would say, happiness, love, no stress, = bliss essentially, an ideal paradisiac. The human mind naturally seeks this utopia. Wow what'd'ya'know, heaven happens to be that. And what does a human being fear most, hatred, pain, torture, displeasure. And wow, what'd'ya'know hell happens to be that. How convenient. What the mind wants, the mind thinks it will get, if it is stupid enough to believe its own fantasies. These concepts of utopia and dystopia are classic ideas of primitive men who lived in the middle, who seek the best and dread the worst. Clear figments in the human psyche. im sorry, but if im a human being "naturally seeking this utopia" i wouldn't create hell. simple as that...and by the way, you can call it a coincidence, but it still is what it is......and why do you mention hell? if i fear hatred, pain, etc, wheres the relation between that and me coming up with a concept of hell? what purpose does it serve for me, or primitive man Quote (I_Guy) And now we get the classic question, where did god come from? Well why not just remove him and simplify the question to where did the universe come from? im surprised you asked this question. if God is a god, then he wouldn't be bound in matter, space, time, etc....what kind of a god is that if he was bound in material?? and you want to SIMPLIFY the question and ask where the UNIVERSE came from? you want to ask where MATTER came from!? something (matter) CANNOT come from nothing....there has to be someone outside of matter, space, time, etc someone out side of nature, rather SUPERnatural to have created it, simple as that. Quote (I_Guy) And sure a religious person may say that he has done all of this to "test our faith." Why? Why do we exist to be tested? in my opinion, it would be absurd to test one's belief, like evolution or w/e.....but our faith can be tested ONCE we believe...if im making any sense....our faith can be tested to demonstrate our true love towards God Quote (I_Guy) God is not responsible for all of this, human imagination is. This is all the result of imperfect nature, not a perfect God. Because if he was perfect the "design" would be much greater. The bible's god's design is a very bad one, and is a point in itself for questioning the esistance of god. We have human beings who could imagine a better "design" than what the bible's God has. whoa whoa whoa,,,jumping to conclusions already? without even having your questions stabbed at answering? let's be reasonable nowAdded (29/May/09, 8:39 Pm) --------------------------------------------- LOL, good luck reading....i dont suppose some of it is worth the time tho

Quote (I_Guy) Yes it was for humor, but it makes obvious the errors of god's psychology, by having human emotions. the bible says God is love, all his attributes come from love. even anger, jealous they come from love, jealousy and anger isn't always right but there are times where you have a right to feel angry or even jealous, when its right to feel that way that isn't imperfection that comes out of the love that God or even a person has Quote (eboyd) it is a difficult concept to understand, but if you think about it you will understand it. maybe you don't

Not everything can be found on wikipedia Mr. Sodr. Rather you can find this emotion argument or not, it still applies. The problem with emotions is that they are clearly developed by evolution as a mechanism for communication and survival. Think about it, if something could have the ability to create wonders of the universe, why would he have simple primitive emotions? Read the thread in this forum. I don't support what they are saying but I feel it is good for a religious person to see. http://www.puritanboard.com/f17/does-god-have-emotions-10189/ Quote (sodr2) then the Bible says that the devil came into the garden to defeat adam and eve (and why not the rest of the animal kingdom as well?) satan could have easily defeated the animals compared to adam and eve, thus bringing suffering into animal life....which ties into what you say here Is this speculation? How can animals be tricked into evil when they have no concept of it. Quote (sodr2) something (matter) CANNOT come from nothing Matter comes from energy. Scientists are getting to the bottom of what causes energy. So why did God create anything in the first place? Why would he create such a headache? What is the ultimate goal? So we can suck his dick for eternity in heaven? Speaking of that, why is he refered to as he? Could it be the primitive idea of oppresion of women in ancient times?? Why did he create animals? They can't worship him. What is the point of them existing if everything was once pure and somehow nothing ate each other? By the way, do you realize that science is the true way to get to God. Eventually man will find what ever started the universe and if it just so happens to be a god then so be it. But essentially science will find the truth, not the bible. Anyways, if god is so powerful why doesn't he just destroy the devil. Or reveal himself in modern times to prove to everyone that he exists so that people don't have to be skeptical. If he is all-knowing then he should understand why some humans don't believe. Rather we are "evil" or not, we are supposed to be his "creations" that means he would have given us the capacity to be evil (if you're saying the devil made people evil, well that basically says that he is more powerful than God by turning God's perfection imperfect [catch the rest of this when we go into logic). God is supposed to be all-powerful therefore he can control everything and he will know the outcome, rather we have free will or not. So why the games? He knows what the end result will be at revelation, and he should know who will chose to follow him in the end. So why all this bullshit beforehand? It's self-defeating. Sigmund Freud, the father of modern psychology understood all religious beliefs as illusions and called religion "the obsessional neurosis of humanity." He realized that all religions are delusionary. Right with everything else, but when it comes to religion I assume this man is somehow wrong? Beings this whole emotion/psychology argument isn't being understood, as clear as it is, I feel we should move on to arguments of logic. So... ...to continue from the above middle, the devil in a way is more powerful than god. The devil is winning by turning only one person evil. And as it seems now, god and Satan seem to be at a pretty even pace. No one is supposed to be as powerful as god. God created hell. Why? To give evil people a place to go, at which point he would prove to Satan that the people would come to god and love, not Satan and hate? Well then God created his own problem. Why didn’t god destroy Satan in the first place so that Satan would never have the opportunity to ruin god’s creations. God is supposed to be all-knowing so he should have known this from the beginning. He should have known he was going to have an angel defy him and all that bullshit. Why didn’t he stop it before it started. But wait, he is supposed to be in control of everything, so therefore he made it happen. Logically it defeats itself.

The problem with emotions is that they are clearly developed by evolution as a mechanism for communication and survival. Think about it, if something could have the ability to create wonders of the universe, why would he have simple primitive emotions? Yes God denies his divinity trough having emotions because if he is DIVINE he must be at the highest forms of serenity and emotions and serenity don't go together Quote (I_Guy) atter comes from energy. Quote (EmSeeD) who's to say? who are we to limit God or say what God can or can't do God, according to Christianity, is limited to perfection. this alone, if you believe it, is a contradiction of your statement. when you attribute perfection to God you limit him to doing only what specifically pertains to perfection. to be perfect God must pertain to perfection at all times. human emotions are imperfect. they directly oppose rationality. when you act upon emotions you act against your better judgment, sometimes getting lucky and doing what we define as the "right" thing (i do not believe in objective morality, therefore i put the word right in quotations). when you act upon your intellect you rationalize and act "right" to the best of your knowledge. if God ever acts upon emotions he is being imperfect. seriously though, forget about calling God perfect anyways. the human concept of perfection is an unreachable paradox. saying God has emotions is fine, just don't try to attribute perfection to him if you attribute emotions to him as well, because they are contradictory to each other just as the concept of perfection itself.

Quote (EmSeeD) who's to say? who are we to limit God or say what God can or can't do but that has no logic he goes against the definition of divine ; divine plus emotions don't fit they are incompatible
