the point is that the books, in general, are there for parents to teach to their children at a young age to give them moral guidelines, whether wrong or right.

did moses fake the commandments yes or no?

"The whole point of any of it (imo) was to bring people together, and keep them away from unethical behavior.. and give people a sense of belonging, in a world where questions could not be answered..."

IN HIS OPINION.........DO YOU SEE?? ARE PEOPLE'S OPINIONS THE TRUTH, YES OR NO???

please dont judge me on the surface....whatever his opinion is??

so what if He was the son of God and not a saint?

the story is Jesus could not perform ANY miracles before His ministry began (ie baptized)

Mary asked Jesus for a favour....

Therefore we can pray and ask for Mary's help!!

please tell me what part you dont understand

ok you have a strong belief thats cool but a belief is not fact, so you cant say his opinion is far from the truth becaue there isnt a truth, especialy with religion, there is too much hypocrasy

i said to agree to disagree because you wouldnt accept the fact that icons are fine!!! you dismiss Christianity for stupid reasons like that, thats why i didnt bother to continue the debate.

well you make a graven image and you pray and kneel before it but in the bible it states on the point don't make a graven image of nothing " no graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"

NO GRAVEN IMAGE OF ANYTHING it states clearly don't bow down pray to images of ANYTHING even if its Jesus or God cause its just an image or statue

lol, and the cycle repeats: lets agree to disagree

back then, there was no purpose of making images or statues other than for idols...once again we dont worship the actual paper or wood of the stone/image and we dont emphasize on kneeling down infront of images

i dont think we even kneel down images or statues!! we may put candles infront of them, kiss them...but bow down ?? i never seen it before

AND ANOTHER thing......there is the part where God ordered that two statues of cherebums to be placed ontop of the ark of the covenant....did the israelites bow down to it? nooooooooo....did they treat it with reverence? yeeeeeeeeees

your full of hypocrisy man HYPOCRISY !!!!!!!!!! we deny one bible quote to justify your actions in this particular religion and YES there was purpose to this quote cause in ancient times IDOLATRY was the main base of PAGAN RELIGIONS compare the Ancient Roman pagan religion and Catholic Christianity when it comes to IDOLATRY they are the SAME http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idolatry_in_Christianity this is one of the reasons why Protestantism was born too much IDOLATRY

menace, let me just ask you a question that will get you thinking...

If God doesn't exist, then how did Balaam's donkey talk to him when he was beating him too hard?
