yeah but theres a difference from someone making music for you to use and taking a sound from someone else and working it to make something new

yeah thats sampling, NONE of them played instruments for the producer they were sampled, and shity cos they barely change the beat, same with kanye wests my way home

u gotta admit tho, he took hip hop to multiple levels. I mean, the reason why he's thought of the greatest producer is because he has been reinventing himself since the 80s.... that fool was a beast when it came to electro, than a beast when it came to NWA (creatin a new west coast style), then he creates g-funk, and then the mother fucker gets all professional with that shit using an orchestra?!? god damn!! I love raw shit, but the chronic 2001 was amazing to me.

according to DJ Quik he's getting some piano lessons from some famous classical guy or something and dre's now sampling some classical music or something like that. should be interesting

yea I heard about that, he's considered one of the best because he's not afraid to try new and different things
