Uncharted, it's not like that. Percee really doesn't spit for people in person that often unless he's doing a show. What we did do was chill at a tattoo parlor/art gallery that Perce and my man Mnemonic were talking about doing a music video at and listening to "Perseverance" while everyone else was smoking weed (Percee is straight-edge. I guess he's never been drunk before, done any drugs or smoked anything which is something we share in common). Mostly we were talking about different things. He seems to prefer taking back streets to freeways so we took like 1 hour plus to get to his house and we were just talking about shit. He was showing me videos of his family (he has 2 kids) and things like that. Man, this dude is the true definition of perseverance though. He lives in a gated community, paid for by hip hop and he still takes the bus 40 miles every day to get to Melrose to Fat Beats to sell his music like a street hustler all day every day.

damn aint dude like in his late 30s.

Yeah, he's 39 or 40 (idk his b-day, but if he isn't 40 yet, he will be soon). What's crazy is his kids are only 3 and 1.

Anyways, on topic... Drake. I will be honest and say I haven't heard nearly enough to pass a completely fair judgment, but from what I've heard so far -- every track -- I've actually gotten him confused with Lil Wayne. That is something that I cannot respect. I was hanging out with Percee P last night and I ended up driving him home and this came up. He agrees that there is nothing more fake than an artist who bites his style from another artist. Even if it was Big Daddy Kane that he sounded EXACTLY like (of course, granted, I may actually think it's decent at first, but it wouldn't be impressive because I've heard it before) I still would be calling him out because it is fake to sound like another dude who is already out there. Does no one else see this? It's not just hip hop that has suffered this. I can't stand people in Jazz that try to sound exactly like legends. I mean doing covers is different but when you hear someone that is just copycatting a style it isn't orginal or creative and therefore I wouldn't call it art. Now, if you guys don't know already, I am open minded, so I'd be down to listen to some Drake tracks if you send me ONLY what you think I may like and I will analyze it lyrically and sound-wise, but remember, music is not just about the lyrics. I don't just hate Lil Wayne's lyrics, that's just a bonus reason. His flow pisses me off. As Joker would put it, it makes me want to eat rusty, AIDS infested heroin needles so if he has a track that sounds NORMAL and actually has good lyrics (and remember, I have a VERY high standard for what "good" lyrics are), send me the link. For me to say he's not wack though he would have to have at least 10 dope tracks and then MAYBE I'll say he's decent. I doubt it will happen but if it does I am open to it

I agree with that Erik, I think I also said I dont like the fact that Drake uses Lil Wayne's EXACT style
If he didnt I think Drake would be ALOT better and easier to accept by both Underground and Mainstream fans

Oh, and Meth, "Duffle Bag Boy" SUCKS! Now you know how much I HATE the song "Make The World Go Round." And seriously, "Untitled" had some shitty fucking pop melody ass beats.

I didnt hear a single "pop" beat on there except Make the World Go Round, but I would listen to that before Duffle Bag Boy ANYDAY

u called Royce "mediocre"?!?! Royce >>>>>> Big Daddy Kane? Royce is shitting on BDK dispite him for being a legend

Out of the D12 group.. (Royce wasn't in D12 but he knew them / was affiliated with them) I'd pick Proof way before I'd pick Royce but that's a matter of opinion I guess.

i dont think so

Tupac was an actor as well but you're missing out one thing..

Drake is whack as fuck and should get shot.

Oh and Method Man and Redman were actors as well (although they didn't play bitches) but that still shouldn't matter.

Dude, the whole Wu Tang Clan, Chino XL, Saul Williams, Mos Def, Common, Andre 3000 (also a bit of a sellout at this point though), Big Boi, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Xzibit, Kurupt, etc., are all actors as well. That point is null and we can now move on.

Yes, Drake is a bitch. He doesn't deserve to get shot, but there's another thing he doesn't deserve to get also and that is air time.

Oh, and Uncharted, my reaction to Perce about his kids was "well, better late then never" which was his exact same response when I said I unfortunately only found out about him in 2007 when "Perseverance" dropped.
