RHHF's Top Singles Chart! PLEASE VOTE

Hey everyone!
the staff and members at RHHF are going to begin compiling a top singles chart on a bi-weekly basis starting a week from today (6/26/11). here's how we're going to do this: we will be accepting music submissions on the site, our email, and from facebook for one work week (Monday thru Friday). all submissions must be posted on a site such as soundcloud or bandcamp in MP3 format which allows us to post the audio so that others may listen, as well as being download enabled. when the weekend starts we will no longer accept new singles as the weekend will be voting time. so everyone will vote from Saturday through Sunday and on Monday votes will be counted and the list will be compiled. we will be creating a top 5 on a bi-weekly or monthly basis (still up for debate). that list will remain the same for a week and will be blasted out to our network until that Sunday. in the meantime we will be accepting new submissions which we will aim to post the following Monday and submissions will continue throughout that following period and the process will repeat. the next five highest ranked tracks from the previous week will be automatically submitted for voting on the next week's list. tracks that have already made the list the previous week will not be allowed for re-submission. artists or their reps cannot vote for their own songs. by the end of the year, all songs that made the list will be re-submitted and a top ten of the year list will be compiled.
so if you are an artist or represent one and you think you have a single that has what it takes to make the list, start your submissions!

this is like, an absurdly good idea. It could get us some good publicity, have artists start coming to us wanting to get on the list. I have a feeling this could bring out the best of some people.
BTW Are instrumentals allowed to be submitted?
EDIT: I don't have the passwords to the RHHF emails, could someone PM me them so i can help out with this, or are we gonna post the tracks up in the forum? hows the actual voting going to work?

i'd recommend that if it is an instrumental it doesn't sound like something you would need a rapper on. in other words, tracks like this have a chance to make it:

of course those beats are so dope that people may just vote for them because of how sick they are, so if you have a ridiculously dope instru, sure, go ahead and submit it. otherwise, i will say that i do like your last two beats in that beat battle with Adam. your style has progressed a lot. i'd be down to try to rap over them for you in the next week and you can submit that maybe. it's up to you. idk what you are trying to submit.

i'll give it to you but i have to get confirmation from chinita that she changed it to what i told her to first.
we will have everyone who wants to vote post a top 10 or 25 list (depending on the amount of submissions) and, like we did with the top 5 albums of each year thing, every first place vote is 10 or 25 points, and every 10th or 25th place vote is one point. whoever has the most points in the end wins.

yeah, i wouldn't be submitting anything repetitive thats for sure, but that question was more of a general question, not just for myself.

OK, should we have people send the emails with a certain thing in the title like "For Singles chart" so we dont get them confused with tracks that people just send us randomly?

actually, i think tracks that get submitted regularly through the email should be admitted to this list as well. i don't think anyone will mind getting their singles added to our charts lol.
