What began this thread: http://realhiphop4ever.ucoz.com/forum/12-1890-1 Religious folks need to give up.
We all know that each of our end is near; the question is do we accept the end of our living existence, or do we accept our existence as dead men...

Quote (sodr2) okay, last thing cause i dont wanna spend a century on this topic....Jesus = God...if jews and muslims reject Jesus, then they don't follow the Christian God. end of story. LOL so you reject Yahweh ?? but he is in the Bible Yahweh is in the Koran and Torah too so you reject Abraham's God namely Yahweh ?? last time i checked in the original formed Bible God was called Yahweh the same as Jews called him and later the Muslims LOL man do your studies and note that is not a language thing Yahweh was the name given to this singular deity so it can be recognized by the people because in the time of the Ancient Hebrews small monotheistic religions existed so if these 3 religions pray to Yahweh they pray to the same GOD

God is ONE in THREE persons, they only believe in one....so you're right in a way but you have no justification saying that islam worships Yahweh....Muhammad stole MOST contents and ideas from the Bible and the Torah, you only have to read & compare those texts to find out...anyone can say they worship a god named yahweh, but they are obviously wrong when they say things like he loves evil and is not a god of peace, and islam is not the religion of peace, plus the Bible warns of false prophets that will arise...seems like people werent paying attention one last thing, islam says that christians and jews dont believe in the true god because they claim their books were altered or changed, so read this see how this is wrong and the weakness in islam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahrif#Modern_Christian_refutation

ill dont worry, ill answer your question in a second... just a side note to menace... if One God X preaches love and peace, and One God Y preaches hatred and violence, then even though these religions might be monotheistic and worship a god called yahweh, they obviously don't worship the same god. Added (12/May/09, 9:35 Pm) --------------------------------------------- Quote (ill) ? it doesnt say why you chose christianity, what i mean is when did you think ahh this is the "true" religion and why alright fine, keep in mind this is a very general and broad topic... i didnt choose christianity, i was born into it....then after i grew in it, i scrutinized my beliefs and came to the conclusion that it is the "true"' religion (i prefer REVEALED religion) this is all just copy and past from my previous post Before Jesus, there were prophets who foretold His coming, this is a FACT, we have these records that date before His time. ok there are literally hundreds, just look at this site http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/prophchr.html a few include * be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) * come before the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 CE (Daniel 9:24-25) <---this did happen, therefore judaism has missed their messiah http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_ (70) * have a miraculous birth (Isaiah 7:14) * be despised and rejected by his people (Isaiah 53:3) * die for us by crucifixion (Psalm 22:16; Isaiah 53:5) * be resurrected from the dead (Psalm 16:10) all these scriptures date before Jesus' time. God and His plan has been revealed by the prophets, and this has been amply authenticated by absolutely reliable witnesses (prophets, saints, etc who never even knew each other, but lived throughout several centuries) all recorded in the bookS of the Bible (not one book), not to mention the revalation of Jesus Christ who was a real person that existed, and is even found in other religions, except the fact of His ressurection that is the main reason why I'm a Christian, not to mention miracles, and how other religions cannot be true... ========================================================================= now i dont know if you're asking why GOD exists, so ill just assume that he does for the sake of the question........you would figure that one of these religions have to be right (process of elimination) - cross out all polytheistic religions (only one god can exist, if there were two infinite gods, they would limit each other and no longer be infinite.......you dont see two kings ruling a country...these religions also don't contain any historical evidence behind it in their holy books.....also there can only be a perfect, NON human god to truly be a deity, not a materialistic idol made by humans, even ask Aristotle who said there is no way for a polytheism to be real, because the gods would not really be gods, but one God could exist now i dont know if you like that explanation or not (there are probably better) - cross out all new religious movements....obviously, the older the religion, the more likely it is to be true just crossing out those two types of religions eliminates like 90% of all religions

Quote (Lord_Meth) Have yall not ran out of things to argue about? IMO there is nothing better to argue in anything in life than religion if something says you can go to an ETERNITY of happiness or damnation, if its right or wrong, we should be looking into it with caution, cause the things in this world pass away

Quote (sodr2) BUILT BY SOLOMON: here you go, nice and big for everyone to see: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped....aza.jpg (just click the link because its too big here) oh and no way did you just say that the kings of the bible didnt exist...we can trace back to each and every one, you cant just label that link as "made up" by theologians...it was made by HISTORIANS nah that was built by King Herod, the one built by Solomon was destroyed. and i asked for sources outside of the bible. I mean yeah i know you can't dismiss the bible records etc as being made up but there isn't much outside of the bible i don't think, i'm not too sure though maybe i'm wrong.

Jesus yup mister Jesus instead of being so sectarian and disrespecting other religions try to find common ground whit them because finding common ground whit them means having peace and harmony my city was part of the Ottoman Empire and half are Muslims half Christians and you can see Mosques next to Churches and the level of religious tolerance is very high in fact there is a feel of fraternal love

Quote (Menace) you can see Mosques next to Churches and the level of religious tolerance is very high in fact there is a feel of fraternal love yeah right, im from egypt....any time they build a church, muslims come in and build a mosque right beside it and make it bigger with higher towers.......fraternal love? man they dont even allow people to convert to christianity, if they do they get tortured, what kind of fraternal love is taht? Quote (Menace) LOL now you jump to conclusions about Islam LMAO man don't start using this shit cause i can show you Christianities dark past really quick these 3 religions worship the same God namely Yahweh they pray to the God of Abraham evolution in religion is something very often but at the base they worship the same God the ancient Hebrew's God ( Yahweh ) and dude guess who's the most quoted prophet in Islam ?? man you just a sectarian exactly what you said was used in history to kill and murderer and what Christianity did ? Christianity is at the base of monarchic absolutism why you think Emperor Constantine converted ?? Constantine naturally patronized a religion which inculcated passive obedience to princes, and maintained his divine right to rule according to the principles of despotism. Paganism never lent itself in this manner to the ambition of tyrants; Olympus was a kind of Republic, and it was always favorable to popular liberty. Christianity practically gave birth to the concept of absolute monarchy until then such heavy centralization in the western world never existed Christianity was the gateway to grab power and justify it for almost 2000 years . - quote from the book " From Christ to Constantine: The Trial and Testimony of the Early Church " so Christianity played a pivotal role in the creation of the deadly absolutist monarchies that ruled the world for almost 2000 years and destroyed civilzations after civilzations so dude stop playing the blame game ok ?
