he wasn't accepted because there is a difference between hereditary kings ( the highly awaited king of the Jews that were under Roman rule and wanted a king ) and godly messianic figures in the Tanakh and her subdivisions including the Torah there is no mentioning of such figures that's why they rejected him Jewish theology rejects the idea that the messiah (or any other person) is a divinity all that BS about the Torah foretelling the birth of Jesus is just Christian Supersessionism
