Skyzoo 'A Dream Deferred' Album Cover + Track Listing

Skyzoo is set to release his new album, 'A Dream Deferred' on October 2nd through The Faculty / Duck Down Music.

The album has stand out production from the likes of !llmind, Jahlil Beats, 9th Wonder, Eric G, Focus, Black Milk, DJ Khalil, Best Kept Secret & Tall Black Guy.

'A Dream Deferred' features songs with Jill Scott, Talib Kweli, Freeway, Raheem Devaughn, Jared Evan, DJ Prince, and Jessy Wilson.

Skyzoo describes the cover, drawn by Chilean artist Fabian Ciraolo (www.fabianciraolo.blogspot.com) as a perfect representation to what the album sounds like. Skyzoo goes on to explain that "the idea was to demonstrate the feel of being in a dream and I wanted the album to represent that visually as well. Fabian's work contains his signature star speckled background on all of his designs, so it made sense to use him with the stars representing a dreamy atmosphere. He's an incredible artist and did an excellent job of bringing the theme of the album to life."

Skyzoo "Jansport Strings" (produced by 9th Wonder)

Lead single off Skyzoo's upcoming album 'A Dream Deferred' out Oct. 2nd on The Faculty/Duck Down Music Inc.

"The idea behind Jansport Strings is not based on it being literal, but more so in the figurative sense. As a kid in NY, the strings on your Jansport bag were a sign of power and presence. Kids would steal the strings off of each other's bags and burn the tips to prevent getting robbed of them once they got them. The song is a 3 minute auto-bio of me as a kid in Brooklyn and seeing more than my friends and I had bargained for. In essence, my Jansport strings tied it all together, seeing what we all saw and what it made us. The ending is a clip from Video Music Box, the legendary NYC video show run by DJ Ralph McDaniels. This episode in particular was the debut of Chi-Ali's 'Age Ain't Nothin But A Number'. Seeing that video that day on this episode of VMB made me start rhyming. This clip was literally the moment that changed my life." -Skyzoo
