well kids used to listen to the same hip hop we listen to, like i said if there were emcee's that can appeal to them and change the trends it will get the interest of the corporations. Because of the internet i think its going to make it easier for independent artists if they're smart and work hard, people can do it without the help of radio. ICP i don't really listen to them but they never get radio play yet they still have a huge following and sell well.

yes because back i then it was balanced even if ICP sells or other people sell Independent artists and labels can't have a share in the market so they can't apply to the majority so they whit their followers will remain a minority

i think the internet can change this though if you play it smart and work hard, that's actually how soulja boy came up through the internet, he was independent before

yeah but the dude fitted the commercial imprint that's why he got a deal and the fact is he didn't get huge money and fame until they constantly aired his song crank that 24/7 on the radio they practically made kids like his song but yeah overall yeah i dig what you saying

No. People are starting to turn to real hip-hop/rap and underground mixtapes because there isn't a lot of new stuff going on, even those that like Lil Wayne and others. Even 50 Cent supposedly wants real hip-hop/rap music to rise up.
