^^^^ Well is it? Why does it seem like there's no hope for a revival? Its like the underground is trying so hard to bring back that hardcore lyrical sound, but still nothing has changed....I read a article that said Auto-Tune sales have INCREASED since the release of Jay'z D.O.A. song.....(so much for shaking things up) I understand that Hip Hop cant come back over night, but is there a glimpse of hope in the future? I want my radio back

WE'RE Fine!!! Scarface says were fucked but KRS1 says were just fine..... (who's right?) Rakim is retiring but Buckshot, Cormega, C Rayz Walz, Outlawz, Immortal Technique and many other guys that grew up on Rakims era are keeping it alive and guys growing up on these guys will do the same... It just seems sooo bad cuz fake heads bump weak music..... as long as we keep ourselves separated(underground seems to be the only option right now) we'll be okay...

Quote (El_Matador) Rakim is coming out with another solo album, its not retiring yet. no doubt but it'll prolly be his last..... Anyway, I like the collaboration of artists trend that's happening... I think it's gonna resurrect hiphop to be honest... if artists keep this up then we might see a significant change... slaughterhouse, buckshot&KRS1, Random Axe etc... are all gonna do well in sales I think and will hopefully open up the eyes of record labels a little bit

Quote (Lord_Meth) lol i wanna say repression but I bet we're probably on the decline well let's look at hip hop's evolution Meth we emerged ( 70's and mid 70's ) we coalesced ( the beginning of the golden era ) we been bureaucratized ( near the end of the golden era ) we gone all out mainstream ( the famous 90's ) and now we are cooptating whit popular culture to survive but that leads to decline to some people would say that hip hop is going straight to decline but if you look at the TV we are trying to merge whit pop culture

Maybe not slaughterhouse, but the others. If they do well they most likely won't open up any eyes.
