A 2000 poll for People for the American Way found 70% of the American public felt that evolution was compatible with a belief in God. The poll estimated that: * 20% of Americans believe public schools should teach evolution only;
* 17% of Americans believe that only evolution should be taught in science classes—religious explanations should be taught in another class;
* 29% of Americans believe that Creationism should be discussed in science class as a 'belief,' not a scientific theory;
* 13% of Americans believe that Creationism and evolution should be taught as 'scientific theories' in science class;
* 16% of Americans believe that only Creationism should be taught. According to a study published in Science, between 1985 and 2005 the number of adult Americans who accept evolution declined from 45% to 40%, the number of adults who reject evolution declined from 48% to 39% and the number of people who were unsure increased from 7% to 21%. Besides the United States the study also compared data from 32 European countries, Turkey, and Japan. The only country where acceptance of evolution was lower than in the United States was Turkey (25%).

The 1953 Iranian coup d'état deposed the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddeq and his cabinet, and was effected by Gen. Fazlollah Zahedi, SIS, and CIA agents working with anti-government civilians and army officers. The attempt to encourage a coup d'état, Operation Ajax required CIA man Kermit Roosevelt, Jr.'s bribing government officials, the news media, and businessmen, to allow imposing retired Gen. Fazlollah Zahedi and Imperial Guard Col. Nematollah Nassiri as the government.

Things like gift-giving, caroling, and elaborate meals had been taking place for years before Jesus’s birth in celebration of the Winter Solstice. As the Christian religion began to spread in the years after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, the Winter Solstice celebration merged with the Christian celebration of Jesus’s birth. Christmas was a secular celebration long before it was a Christian celebration.

Romania in World War 2 was allied whit Nazi Germany and the Axis. The fascist leader at that time Marshal Antonescu and his government were directly responsible for the killing of between 280,000 and 380,000 Jews and over 10,000 Roma (Gypsies ) in Romania and the Soviet territories it occupied. Romania's share in the Holocaust, i.e. its contribution as an independent, not occupied country, is thus the second biggest after that of Nazi Germany. Antonescu's stepmother, Frida Cuperman, was Jewish, as was his first wife, Raşela Mendel, whom he married as a military attaché in London in the 1930s.

why Israel is not called Israel and its called The State Of Israel ?? its simple the USA itself Israel is registered in international law as the State Of Israel and by law The State Of Israel is part of the Federal States of the USA not talking about the close connection that Israel has whit the US a connection that was condemn by all nations on earth

THE CROSS - Many people assume that the cross is a Christian symbol. Christians have indeed adopted the cross but its origins date back long before Jesus was ever born. The cross can be dated back to ancient Babylon and the worship of the sun-gods Mithra and Tammuz. In fact the cross was not used by Christians until the fourth century after Emperor Constantine (a pagan sun-worshipper) had a vision of the cross in front of the sun.
