i've been at my grandmother's, but yeah i've noticed not as many people come on here lately but i've also noticed the youtube group is more active so maybe its either one or the other all the time. i haven't had as much energy lately i've gotten a bit bored of it, but i just need to re-energized. atm im just putting my energy into writing songs and things like that. *gasp*

In their mind they think, lil Wayne is wack and is destroying hip hop culture and hip hop music. They feel good about themselves because they have discovered (a by most) unseen truth. Yet when we switch subject with the same application, they're all "oh no I like so and so's music because it makes me feel good." Don't you think the groundless idiots that listen to lil Wayne say the same thing, "oh well it makes me feel good! It's just music..." Give me a MOTHER FUCKING break. You have to understand the same scenario with all situations (lil Wayne = Blink 182, the current example). Remain objective god damn it! indeed !!! good point !!!

I_guy, I dont necassarily agree, yet I see that is a really good point.

Its not just the sound.
Its the lyrics.
The meaning of the music.
Beleive it or not, Blink has some meaningful songs. at least to me...
Like for example.
I feel alot of eminem songs, but on the other hand they mean NOTHING to someone else.
Some people feel Nas, I dont.
Well I feel Blink. I dont give a motherfuck what people say.
Its music. Turn it the hell up and enjoy it and stop arguing over What this means and what that is and why this happens.
Humans are intelligent, but let emotion over-ride their intelligence. Its going to happen. People will argue. I get that.
But I dont get the point in arguing this. No one is going to make me stop liking them.
I realize they arent punk rock and are fucking up the culture of it.
Is that going to make me feel guilty for liking them? No.

The point is that this is a group that is constructed for the purposes of holding art at a higher standard among other things, but that is one of our main focuses. When you post about a group that you even admit is "killing punk" do you expect us to just sit back and not complain? Take that shit to a Blink fansite. We have no problem with you liking Blink, or Lil Wayne for that matter, but this is no place for them. We are breaking our musical standards discussing them here.

Did I say that? My point is simple: by the very nature of this site, if you post about those artists, expect ridicule. I don't have a predisposition against Blink myself. I actually don't mind them either, but if you post about them here, expect a backlash, because people here can't stand artists who don't make art for the purpose of art.
