People don't see the faults in their arguments because they have grown into their outlook. That's why nothing will change your opinion of Blink 182. Nevertheless, it doesn't make them any better or real (and by real I mean sincere).

Nothing will change my opionion of them because some of there music is sentimental to me, and also because I just flat out like it.

I dont think anything will change just because I grew up listening to it, and I enjoy it. Bottom line. Its not about sybolism or corporations, or shit like that.
I think theres a reason they got where they are. Its because stupid teens like me wanted to feel accecepted, or at least understood, so they dig this.
For MY generation, you know, the wayne heads, well they like Wayne because they were all raised with money and THINK they are little pimps and little hoes and gangsters because they can afford the CD's, the new shit, the clothes, etc. so they feel like they can relate.
I relate to Blink because half the time I'm pissed over some girl or im running around with my freinds skating, so idk. It fits how I feel. When I am playing bball, or trying to focus, I put in hiphop. It fits my mood.

They are talking about everyday shit as a teen.

How is that not sincere? They are writing about how they felt when they were younger. Sure that may seem like a mid life crisis, but they have been doing it for years.
So whatever i dont care.
I will be a life long blink fan, as long as they dont go Angels and Airwaves on me.

blink aint doin' what Weezy is.....they're in it for the music and the love of making music...that's all... they had a run there while geekey fans jumped on their dicks which made hardcore punkers dislike them.....kinda like when people have a fav underground hiphop artist and then stop liking them when they blow up... i don't follow blink but i like some of their shit and they've done some descent side projects too...

Emo is more of a sound for me.
If your going to classify a band emo by their lyrics, then Tupac would be emo, along with alot of other rappers.

Yeah there last ablum was emo-ish but I think if you went up to some random person they'd be like "Oh. This is Pop."
Or "oh. Alternative"
or "oh. Punk" (for the people who here a song like "Go" and they havent heard real punk)
and occasioinaly "Damn. This shit is emo."
Idk thats just my opionon though.
But it definitly had an emo sound to it. And yeah I know... Pretty good song.
