Quote (Lord_Meth) *huff* This is not as easy as I was hoping.......... Ya kno wat fine Im just gonna go on wat yall guys say for now on............ Who cares wat Hip Hop means nowadays!! Fuck that!! thats all Golden Age talk!! Its all about music now, no self respect or dignity anymore Hell with knowledge, thats for nerds!!! If Jay-Z is still reppin Hip Hop, that means Lil Wayne is doing just a good job as he is But that's not what anyone is saying though. Whatever happened to just spitting good lyrics & making good music? Does EVERYTHING have to have a moral code EVEN IF the music is good. There's no hip-hop police that has a law claiming you can't make good music despite it having a mainstream sound.
Only god can judge me.

If ur in the mainstream there is noway u can just spit lyrics at ur own decision only the big stars Kanye, Nas, Luda, Common get that privledge But we have Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, A-Rab out here making a bad name for Hip Hop If u know good music god bless u brother cuz its hard to find people like that But as long as u know the good from the bad its all gravy dawg

Quote (11thPlague) Yeah but here he's Underrated and Nas is Overrated True but Nas is overrated cuz alot of people see him as the Poster Boy for Real Hip Hop Quote (SnoopG79) True indeed but does he deserve hate for that? If so, y'all need to hate 'Pac, BIG, Nas & so on because they all sold out a bit too. Of course we kno that We all acknowledge that Biggie and Pac sold out Even Nas sold out back in the day but he found his way back to his conscious Pac and Biggie died before they were able to turn it around All Eyes on Me was of course for the Mainstream and its regarded as his best release, not true Me Against the World owned All Eyes on Me the only difference is that All Eyes on Me was more appealing to the mainstream

They ARE hurting hip-hop in a VERY negative way but I just have always felt that looking at all the negatives in mainstream hip-hop instead of the POSITIVES is partically the reason why some tends to stay away. Trust & believe, I think we can ALL atest to the fact that mainstream hip-hop is sorta decaying as a whole but as always, it'll bounce back. The people soon enough will know who are the real & who are the trash in mainstream music soon enough. There's just needs to be a good push of artists in there enough to do so.

if Jay-z didn't contributed to the downfall of HIP HOP then i am a Eddie Izzard and I'm doing stand up comedy dressed in a transvestite his corporate deals merged hip hop closer and closer to her demise it's fucking called corporate monopolization it happened in all genres from Hippie to Punk Rock it's not even about money to Jay's part cause if he didn't keep monopole over hip hop they dropped him and made him a hobo that's why its good to be an independent artist
